This week’s show is loaded with outstanding and timely guests, starting with Craig Watson, the newly-elected Executive Director of the Arts Council for Long Beach. Craig will outline the new Strategic Plan for the Arts.

Also appearing on the show is Tony Soares, General Manager of the Long Beach Armada Professional Baseball Team. Tony will describe some of the exciting additions to the team and new features at the ballpark, as the Armada enter their fifth season.

Finally, Mark Stevens, Publisher and CEO of Long Beach Magazine, will review some of the accomplishments at the magazine over the past two years and his plans for its continued growth.

Coming Up

We continue to celebrate our 15th Anniversary Season with great guests:

• Musical Theatre West Executive Director/Producer Paul Garman will review the past season and
  preview what’s ahead for next year.
  
  
• Political activist Gabriella Holt will outline her proposal to reform the California Legislature.
  
  
• McKenna’s on the Bay Executive Chef Art Gonzalez will describe his participation in “Cooking for a
  Cause” and will relate how he became a chef.

Save the Date

Save Thursday, July 30 for another Straight Talk Night at the Armada Baseball Game at Blair Field starting at 6:30pm. Art will attempt to throw out the first pitch. Look for the Straight Talk crew in Section 109 under the Straight Talk Banner. Stop by and say hello! Also, enjoy “Thirsty Thursdays” with $2 beer from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

Straight Talk Viewers will be eligible for a 2 for 1 Coupon for general admission or reserved seats (normally $8 or $12 each). The coupon will be available at this website starting July 14.

New Stations

Straight Talk now airs in Cerritos on Charter Cable Channel 56. The show plays Sunday and Thursday at 7pm and Wednesday at 7:30pm.

Straight Talk can also be seen on FIOS Channel 25 in Long Beach, Lakewood and Signal Hill. The show airs Sunday at 2pm and 8pm, Monday at 4pm and 8pm, and Thursday at noon, 6pm and 10pm.
